The Tipón and Jurassic Park Oropesa tour is a perfect experience that combines the best of Inca engineering, traditional Cusco gastronomy and fun for the whole family. This half-day adventure allows you to explore one of the most impressive archaeological complexes in the Southern Valley of Cusco, famous for its sophisticated hydraulic system that still works after centuries.
We start the tour from Cusco at 9:00 am, heading towards the Choquepata populated center on a comfortable 40-minute journey. During the trip, our professional guide will provide you with fascinating information about the history and cultural importance of the places we will visit, preparing you for the experience that is to come.
The highlight of the morning is the visit to the Tipón archaeological complex, where we will explore for 2 hours its magnificent stepped agricultural terraces and its advanced Inca hydraulic system. Accompanied by our expert guide, you will learn about the engineering techniques that the Incas used to channel water from natural springs through perfectly carved stone channels. The panoramic views from the upper terraces are simply spectacular, offering unique opportunities for memorable photographs.
After exploring Tipón, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Cusco lunch with typical dishes such as chicharrón, guinea pig and other local specialties. This will be an excellent opportunity to taste authentic Andean gastronomy in a unique setting surrounded by nature and impressive landscapes of the Southern Valley.
After lunch, we will head to Oropesa, known as the "National Bread Capital", where we will visit the fascinating Jurassic Park of Oropesa. This family theme park offers an educational and fun experience with impressive life-size dinosaur replicas in a natural setting. It is the perfect place for children and adults to enjoy together, learn about prehistoric history and capture unique photographs with these gigantic creatures from the past.
Finally, we begin the return to Cusco around 3:45 pm, arriving at approximately 4:30 pm.
