  • DESCRIPTION

Explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas in a different and adrenaline-filled way: on ATVs. This half-day tour combines adventure, living culture, and impressive Andean landscapes. Travel rural roads towards Maras, Moray, and the famous Salt Mines in an unmissable experience for nature and thrill lovers.
The adventure begins in the city of Cusco, with departures available in the morning (7:00 a.m.) or in the afternoon (1:00 p.m.), depending on your preference. We will meet at a previously coordinated central point (usually the Plaza de Armas), and from there we will travel by private vehicle for approximately one hour to our base in Cruzpata.
Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing and a short driving practice (10 minutes), ideal even for those with no prior experience. Then we begin the main tour: 1.5 to 2 hours on ATVs through the Sacred Valley, crossing paths surrounded by mountains, crop fields, and spectacular views of the Andes mountain range.
During the journey, we will make strategic stops at natural viewpoints perfect for taking photos, and you will have the option to visit the archaeological complex of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory (entrance optional).
Afterward, we will head on foot towards the impressive Maras Salt Mines, where more than 3,000 salt pools form a unique landscape. ATV entry is restricted in this area to protect its historical and ecological value.
In addition to the cultural richness, you will enjoy privileged views of sacred mountains such as Waqaq Willka (La Veronica) and Chicon, part of the majestic Vilcanota mountain range. Upon finishing the ATV circuit, we will return to the base to take the transport back to Cusco.
Note: You can also start or end this tour in Urubamba or another point in the Sacred Valley upon prior coordination (additional cost may apply).

  • HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TOUR
  • Cruzpata — Starting point of the Sacred Valley ATV tour

Cruzpata is the main base where the Sacred Valley ATV adventure begins. This quiet rural village is surrounded by agricultural fields and open mountains that create the perfect setting to start the tour. Here you will receive a complete safety briefing, the necessary equipment, and a guided driving practice, ideal for familiarizing yourself with the ATV even if it is your first time. Thanks to its strategic location, Cruzpata offers a direct exit to scenic routes that connect with Maras, Moray, and the viewpoints of the Sacred Valley.

  • Moray — Inca agricultural laboratory

During the tour, you will have the option to visit Moray, one of the most enigmatic archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. Its amphitheater-shaped circular terraces were used by the Incas to experiment with microclimates and crops, resulting in a highly advanced agricultural system for its time. This stop complements the Sacred Valley ATV experience with a cultural and archaeological focus, allowing you to get to know one of the most sophisticated works of agricultural engineering of the Tahuantinsuyo. Entry is optional and requires a ticket.

  • Maras Salt Mines — Unique landscape of more than 3,000 salt pools

After completing the ATV circuit, you will continue towards the famous Maras Salt Mines, a set of more than 3,000 artisanal pools that have been worked since pre-Inca times until today. The intense white color of the pools contrasts with the reddish mountain that surrounds them, creating one of the most photographed landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Due to the cultural and ecological importance of the place, ATV access is restricted, so this part of the tour is done by transport. Here you can observe the traditional salt extraction process and enjoy a truly unique natural setting.

  • Landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas — Unforgettable natural viewpoints

Throughout the Sacred Valley ATV tour, you will enjoy panoramic views that make this tour an extraordinary visual experience. As you advance along rural roads and open plains, you will have privileged views of sacred mountains such as the snowy La Veronica (Waqay Willka) and Chicon, as well as extensive crops, small farming communities, and natural formations that show the authentic life of the Valley. These natural stops are perfect for photographs, resting, and connecting with the Andean essence while feeling the freedom of driving your own ATV.
