From this starting point, you can freely ride toward the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint or explore the scenic rural trails of the Red Valley. We offer professional ATV rental services with single models for solo riders and double models for two passengers.

1. Honda TRX 250
- Adventure brand statement: Ideal for all-terrain lovers on any adventure, making gear shifting on the go more comfortable.
- Rider capacity: 1 person strictly (single ATV).
- Maximum weight limit: Up to 110 kg (243 lbs) in total, including rider and gear.
- Engine: 229 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled. Reliable torque and constant power at high altitudes.
- Transmission: Semiautomatic 5-speed with reverse. Gears are shifted directly with the foot without a manual clutch lever, preventing engine stalls on steep climbs.
- Starter: Electric push-button start.
- Drive system: 4×2 via a low-maintenance shaft drive: direct transmission that ensures superior traction without chain-break risks.
2. Kawasaki Brute Force 300
- Adventure brand statement: Strength and comfort for daily work or exploring demanding trails.
- Rider capacity: 1 or 2 people (single or double ATV).
- Weight limit allowed: Up to 227 kg (500 lbs) combined in total, including driver, passenger and gear.
- High-end engine: 271 cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled. Maintains optimum engine temperature under maximum load at high elevations.
- Automatic handling: Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with selectable high/low gears—low range provides maximum power on steep inclines—and reverse. Simply gas and brake.
- Starter: Electric push-button start.
- Chassis & suspension: Heavy-duty frame with independent double-wishbone front suspension and swingarm rear suspension. Features sturdy cargo racks and a comfortable passenger seat.
Know the trail before you ride
To ensure a thrilling yet safe self-guided adventure, it is vital to know the trail conditions before operating our ATV rental service.
Terrain type: The route is 100% unpaved, consisting of hard-packed dirt roads, rural paths and rocky mountain trails. You will encounter loose gravel, natural bumps and dust. There are no paved roads on this adventure circuit.
Geography and inclines: The trail features steep mountain climbs and descents, as well as sharp turns. This is where the Honda direct drive and Kawasaki low-range power become your best allies for total traction.
Rental inclusions
Your rental includes
- Fuel: A full tank of gas upon departure from our Japura base.
- Safety briefing: A mandatory 10-minute technical instruction covering the proper use of vehicle controls and gears before heading out.
- Route map: A recommended navigation map with checkpoints to ensure a safe journey.
- Support: Emergency mechanical assistance within our authorized riding perimeter.
Not included
- Personal gear: Safety helmets and protective gloves.
- Vehicle protection: Damage waiver or insurance for material damages to the ATV (see security deposit section).
- On-route support: Tour guide services or trail escort.
- Access fees: Entry tickets to Rainbow Mountain and local community checkpoint fees.
- Medical coverage: Personal accident insurance or medical health coverage.
Rental policies & booking conditions
Minimum age
Drivers must be 18 years or older. Minors can travel strictly as passengers on double models.
Mandatory riding test
We do not require a state driver’s license due to the rural setting; however, riders must pass a short driving test at our base before receiving the keys. If our staff determines that a rider lacks basic control, the rental will be canceled for safety reasons.
Weight control
We strictly enforce load limits: maximum 110 kg for single ATVs and 227 kg for double ATVs, safeguarding the vehicles at high altitudes.
Identification
A physical original passport for foreigners or DNI for Peruvians is mandatory and will be securely held at the base during the rental period.
Security deposit
To cover potential vehicle damage, a fully refundable deposit is required before departure via credit card temporary hold or cash. It is fully released when the ATV returns in its original condition.
Contract signing
Every driver must sign a physical Rental Agreement and a Liability Waiver before starting the ride.
Personal Responsibility & Health Insurance Policy
Since these are recreational vehicles for rural paths, our ATVs do not have transit insurance (SOAT) or integrated medical coverage. By choosing a self-guided rental, the user signs to acknowledge the risks of the rugged Andean geography and certifies possessing personal travel insurance with adventure sports coverage. Any medical or rescue expenses arising from an incident on the trail will be the sole responsibility of the client.
