It is not possible to camp near the lagoon, but it is possible in Soraypampa since there is a camping area only 2 km away.

Is it possible to go with children?

Yes, it is possible to go with children, but it is recommended to rent a horse for the children, since the hike is demanding and is at a high altitude, it can cause discomfort to children; it is not recommended to go with babies.

The level of the hike is moderate, but it is worth it to reach the Humantay Lagoon.

Description of the Humantay Lake Tour.

First, we start by picking you up at your accommodation, and then, move to the town of Mollepata for approximately 2 hours, where our breakfast will be. Next, we board our transport to travel to Soraypampa for 1 more hour, here, our guide will cover about the route, walk, techniques, and many more. During the walk, we will see the snowy Salkantay in the distance.

In this way, we begin the walk, approximately 01:30 hours, until we reach Humantay lake, however, if we are lucky we will see the great condor in the upper part. You will have enough time to take photos and videos and to enjoy ourselves. Afterward, we began to descend along the same path until we reached the parking lot.

In this way, we return to the restaurant, where we will be waiting for a delicious buffet lunch. Next, we return to the city of Cusco, 2 hours. Finally, after a good tour of this wonderful lagoon, we finished our tour. Cusco has been reactivating tourism.
