Exploring the Ausangate-Rainbow Mountain region is a great way to discover other exciting places to visit.
On one side, the snow-capped mountain of Ausangate is located in Ocongate district, and for the local people this is a deity that protects their communities from. This mountain is also part of Vilcanota range (6384 m.a.s.l.), and this is ideal to practice sport, rock climbing, trekking, etc. Furthermore, on the route you could behold the natural formations of water, forest of stone and glaciers.
On the other hand, the rainbow mountain is located in Pitumarca district, Quispicanchi province, at 5200 m.a.s.l. In the past, this mountain was covered by ice, and probably it started to thaw because of climate change. So, now we could appreciate the bright colors behind the snow; and since 2016, this place receives hundreds of visitors per day, becoming, along with Machu Picchu, one of the most visited places in Cusco.
One of the advantages is that our groups do not exceed 10 participants, that is why an assistant is assigned to a group of 8 passengers, so we can provide you a better service to live a gorgeous experience.
During the trip, we will be able to observe the flora and fauna of the place: llamas, alpacas, vicuñas in their natural habitat; and if we are lucky we could, probably, see the flight of Andean Condor (vultur gryphus).
We will also bring you a comfortable space in our modern tourist transport with a capacity for 10 people.
