Our coffee, tea, and chocolate tour, firstly, will give you to understanding that Peru has a wide biodiversity of ecosystems that makes it a unique destination where culture and nature are found everywhere. Unlike others, this is due to the presence of the Andes Mountains that cover it. From the coast to the Andes' glacial mountains, different ecological layers are formed due to the altitude. In addition, we discover the valleys and high jungles of the Andes, where the production of better products, including coffee, is promoted.
Peru coffee is a different product because it was developed in this zone, also known as “high-altitude coffee”. In Peru, this coffee is cultivated manually in uncontaminated lands and forests, without fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, so that it provides a good smell and exquisite taste. Currently, it is in great demand in many countries, as an organic product, it has won numerous international awards, and it won the award for the best coffee in the world in 2018.
The coffee grown in the Cusco region is located about 2 hours from the citadel of Machu Picchu, a very promising place to visit the coffee crops and at the same time visit the wonder of the world Machu Picchu.
This travel program we offer throughout Peru with a destination of coffee sectors, at the same time visiting many wonderful places so you can enjoy an experience with ATV Rainbow Mountain, providing a quality service.
Tea is the characteristic crop of Huayopata and represents 55% of the agricultural production. Therefore, it is the only point in Peru where 90% is grown, the other 10% is grown in Tingo Maria. Tea work has been the daily life of farmers in these areas for 100 years. Currently, the process of harvesting and industrialization continues. Producing different varieties of herbal teas for consumption, such as black, green and white tea, each with a different pure aroma.
Coffee is a plant well adapted to these regions, producing the best coffee with a mild aroma, known as “high altitude coffee”. High-altitude coffee is better on the quality spectrum and is in demand in specific markets. This is because the microclimate of Huayopata is very variable and temperate.
Cacao is another tropical plant that we can find in the lower plants, as this product is abundant in this area. Like the rest of our products, it is handmade and organic, so we have the best chocolates. Another product that dominates this area is coca, and we can also see crops of this product next to coffee and tea crops. We will also admire many fruits such as mangos, lucuma, passion fruit, orange trees, grapefruit, limes, custard apples, and other fruits of the region.
