The variety of colors that sprout from the mountain of colors is due to the product of the erosion of minerals, below we have the description of the colors that can be noticed by carefully observing the 7-color mountain:
Pink : product of red clay, fangolitas (mud) and arilitas (sand).White: due to the quartz sandstone and marl, rich in calcium carbonate.Red: composed of clay stones (iron) and clays belonging to the upper tertiary.Green: is due to the compound of phyllites and clays rich in ferro-magnesio.Earthy brown : is the product of a conglomerate composed of rock with magnesium, belonging to the Quaternary era.Mustard yellow: color due to the calcareous sandstones rich in sulphide minerals.

However, the weather on the 7-color mountain is variable. During the months of December to March, the Rainbow Mountain presents abundant cloudiness and intense rains. On the other hand, in the months of the dry season (April to November) the climate in the mountains is frigid at night and sunny during the day.
